Well if you want to share a particular image or whatever with someone, you can put an @ before their name, like @drenchedinmanilatwilight and it will let them know that you mentioned them. So if you write a text post, you can keep replying to each other. Not as good as a messenger of some sort and not private, true, but it's something. Personally, I find soup awesome enough to overlook the lack of messenger, but that's me. Welcome to soup, btw! :)
